Victory Podium drew its inspiration from the following: most prize awarding ceremonies are formal, boring and 'off the radar' in terms of media coverage. There is one noteworthy exception: Formula 1, which for over 50 years has delivered a 'Champagne podium'. This is expected of winners, beheld by spectators, sponsored by big brands and covered by journalists. In other words, only the F1 provides the ceremonious pedestal which extols the players involved and which is valued by the Sponsors. Victory Podium used this brand of ceremony as a model to develop a 'drink ceremony' for each Sport that delivers the same advantages.
2. Victory Podium's solution: a drink ceremony tailored to each Sport
Using the symbolism of the opening of a bottle by the winner, and of the spewing foam, Victory Podium has developed and patented bottle and opening procedures (see Products for more details). These are either done by hand or using the gestures of the sport, such as the swing of a club in golf. To celebrate his or her victory, the winner opens a bottle, sending out a spew of about 10 meters for more or less 10 seconds. This spectacular spewing brings about scenes of joy, spontaneity and communion between the Champion and the Crowd. The images are broadcast by the media. The Sponsor associated with this ceremony enjoys maximum visibility.
